About this course
Companies that roll out Copilot tend to see the same pattern. A few enthusiasts use it every day. Most people try it twice, get a generic answer, and go back to working the old way. The licences keep being paid for. The gap is rarely the tool — it is that nobody showed people what a useful request looks like, which tasks it genuinely saves time on, and where it should not be trusted without checking.
This one-day workshop is built around the tasks your team already does: drafting and summarising in Word, analysing a table in Excel, turning a document into a presentation, catching up on a long email thread, and getting a clean summary and action list out of a Teams meeting. Each exercise uses the team’s own kind of material, so the prompts they practise are the ones they will use on Monday.
A part of the day covers judgement rather than features: how Copilot uses the information you already have access to, what that means for sensitive files, and how to check an answer before it goes to a client. That is usually the part managers care about most, and it is what makes a wider rollout safe.

›Do we need Microsoft 365 Copilot licences for this?
For the full course, yes. Microsoft 365 Copilot is a separate licence on top of Microsoft 365, and the in-app features in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams depend on it. Microsoft also offers a web-based Copilot Chat that works without that licence, with fewer capabilities.

›Is our company data safe when staff use Copilot?
Microsoft 365 Copilot works within the permissions each user already has — it can surface files a person could already open, which is why tidy sharing permissions matter before a rollout. The workshop covers what that means in practice and how it fits your own IT policy.
For an authoritative answer on your tenant’s settings, involve your IT administrator. We are happy to include them in scoping.
›Is one day enough?
For everyday use across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams, yes — the aim is confident, regular use rather than every feature. Teams that want to go further, such as building agents in Copilot Studio, need a separate technical session.
›Is Copilot training HRD Corp claimable?
Yes, where the provider and the specific course are registered with HRD Corp and the grant is applied for before the training runs. Government agencies do not pay the HRD Corp levy, so agency training is funded from the department’s own allocation instead.
›Can it be run in Bahasa Melayu?
Ask when you request a quote and we will look for a trainer who can deliver in Bahasa Melayu. Copilot itself works in several languages, which is worth covering in the session if your team writes in both.
