›How much does Microsoft training cost?
It depends on the number of days, the size of the group and where the training runs. When the trainer travels — to Sabah or Sarawak, for example — airfare and accommodation are part of the quote, and HRDF allows trainers from other towns to claim airfare.
For employers registered with HRDF, in-house training is claimable from the levy up to RM10,500 per group per day (HRD Corp's January 2026 cost matrix). That ceiling is the number most approvers compare a quote against. Our Excel training price guide breaks down what goes into one.
›Who is the top training provider in Malaysia?
There is no official ranking. The right provider depends on what you need. For a Microsoft certification exam, Microsoft lists authorised Learning Partners. For a team that needs to work faster in Excel, Power BI or Microsoft Project on its own reports, an in-house course built on your files is the format designed for that.
If you plan to claim HRDF, check that both the provider and the specific course are registered with HRD Corp before you book.
›Where can I get Microsoft Office training?
Three ways: a public class at a training centre, self-paced online courses (Microsoft Learn, and HRD Corp’s e-LATiH platform), or in-house training run at your own office for your team.

HRDF funding
HRDF claimable training — your levy is probably already paying for this
Employers with ten or more Malaysian employees pay 1% of monthly wages into the HRDF fund. In-house training is claimable up to RM10,500 per group per full day under the January 2026 Allowable Cost Matrix, where the provider and course are registered and the grant is applied for before the training.
Unutilised levy is forfeited after two years, down to a RM10,000 floor. A successful claim resets that clock, whatever its size.
